Norwich City Council and The Friends of Heigham Park are seeking your views on two new proposals to improve and enhance areas of Heigham Park. We'd like to hear from any current or potential visitors to the park about whether they'd like to see a dedicated dog-free grass area with picnic benches and an accessible natural area, featuring a new pond.

This consultation is occurring at a stage where these proposals are high level. All feedback, comments and suggestions will be thoroughly analysed and considered by the council and the Friends before any final decisions are made. We encourage all park users and residents to share their views and suggestions both online and in-person during the ongoing consultation process.

Details of the agreed plans and a consultation summary document will be shared for the public to review on Get Talking Norwich.

The consultation is open from Wednesday 10 May until 5pm on Friday 2 June.

Heigham Park is one of Norwich's Grade II Listed, Sandys-Winsch designed parks. It formally opened to the public in 1924 and remains one of the city's most popular open spaces. The park is owned and managed by Norwich City Council and supported by an active Friends of Heigham Park group.
