We're excited to launch our Love Norwich grants!The Friends of Waterloo Park

Our Love Norwich grants programme offers funding of up to £2,500 to residents and community groups who want to make improvements to public spaces in their local areas.

Whether you envision a community garden, a colourful mural, or thriving woodlands, this is an opportunity for us to support your project and transform tired or unloved public spaces into areas which inspire and delight.

Please note:
  • Applications are welcome from new and existing projects
  • Groups must have or gain permission to make improvementsLocal resident creating a mural on Hedgehog Alley
  • Projects must be public spaces within the Norwich City Council's boundary.

Our community enabling team can provide comprehensive support. Including support to secure permissions, providing group management guidance, accessing training and learning opportunities, and connecting you to other like-minded community members.

    Community mural by residents


    Love Norwich is funding this fantastic partnership, enabling them to continue developing community cohesion, improve wellbeing.
    This will ensure they can continue to provide positive activities with local artists, with their community murals project in Suffolk Square.

    Norwich Cycle Speedway Club

    The speedway track, at Harford Park is a great resource for residents and club members. Our grant enabled the club to re-shale the track to create a safer surface.
    We are thrilled this supports the Club to host competitions as part of the 2025 World Cycle Speedway Championships.

    The Island community garden



    Our Love Norwich grant supported residents to develop their community garden providing a calming space for neighbours to connect. Funding covered a new seating area, patio paving, tools storage, as well as plants, shrubs and wildflowers to incorporate much needed colour and biodiversity.


    Burges Road Community Garden

    Mile Cross



    Burges Road Gardeners making progress


    Volunteers in Mile Cross have been working hard to transform an unloved, heavily fly tipped area and convert it in to a community garden.

    The Love Norwich grant funded the purchase of a secure metal shed, to provide space for tools and equipment.


    NR5 Community Arts Mural

    North Earlham


    Local community group The NR5 Community Hub, supported residents fed up with walking past graffiti to create this wonderful mural.

    Our grant enabled them to purchase the paint and work with a local artist, whilst our community enabling team supported them to acheve the appropiate permissions.
