Southwell Road, Brazen Gate, Regina Road and Cranworth Gardens Inspections

The estates walkabout at Cranworth Gardens/Southwell Road were received positively by the attendees. The tenant involvement panel members that attended the meeting appreciated the opportunity to speak directly with council officers and contractors who are responsible for their issues.

Council staff made a concerted effort to engage meaningfully with tenants, ensuring they felt valued, respected, and heard throughout the visit. This approach contributed to a constructive and collaborative atmosphere.

NCSL Environmental also provided positive feedback and welcomed the opportunity to participate. Together, we completed transparent and honest scoring against the Benchmark Housing Standards, which highlighted both strengths and areas requiring improvement. These results will be published online to ensure openness and to allow tenants to see how their estate is performing and what actions will follow.

Due to the size of the area and the disparity of issues between the two sides of the inspection area we decided to carry out two housemark scorings for either side of the inspection area. One for the area including Cranworth Gardens and Regina Road, then one for the area including Southwell Road and Brazen Gate.
