The proposed re-design of Eaton Park playground
The playground design and layout The aim of the project is to redesign the playground to be inclusive and accessible for everyone, using the PIPA definition of inclusive play spaces. Children of all ages and abilities, including those who use wheelchairs, have sensory needs, or learn differently, will be able to play together. About the design: Everyone can join in: There's equipment for all ages and abilities, like swings, slides, climbing things, special panels for games and communication, and even a fun sensory area. Equipment: Includes swings, slides, climbing structures, game panels, communication panels and a multi-sensory fun point. Safe and sound: The ground is sand and wet pour safety surfacing, and there are clear paths for easy movement. Sensory fun: Different textures, sounds, and sights will stimulate all the senses. Children can use their creativity and play together in lots of ways.
