The deadline for the small culture grants closed on May 10.
Norwich City Council is inviting organisations to bid for an annual culture grant to fund activities which support the delivery of the Norwich 2040 City Vision - Creative City objectives in the financial year 2024/25.
The grants are designed to help cultural groups and community enterprises which provide events, festivals and other activities in the city. They are invited to apply for sums of between £500 and £7,500.
The annual grants are part of the council’s action plan to ensure the city continues to flourish as a creative and vibrant place over the next decade and a half, working with others in the arts and cultural sector as part of the Norwich Creative City Compact.
In the 2023/24 financial year, the council gave awards from a £54,500 grant pot to ten local theatre groups and projects. Recipients ranged from theatre and music companies providing creative activities for young people or those with profound and multiple learning disabilities, to others delivering activities promoting diversity and public participation or supporting creative practitioners.
