City Hall, a landmark for residents and visitors alike, stands at the heart of our city and plays a vital part of Norwich’s civic life. Its prominent location near the market, Guildhall, St Peter Mancroft, and the Forum makes it a key focal point in the city centre.
As Norwich continues to evolve, we’re committed to ensuring City Hall continues to serve our community now, and into the future.
This is the start of an important project to improve City Hall and the surrounding area, with a focus on creating a space that is more accessible, adaptable and one that can better respond to changing demands in the future years. We want to learn more about your views of City Hall and experiences of using the building - and, most importantly, your ideas for its future.
These early conversations will add to the other pieces of work we are doing with lots of different people we are involved with. This allows us to bring together many voices and views on how we can collectively make improvements to such an important building which proudly overlooks our city centre.
Working with a talented team of architects and other experts, we will develop plans capable of delivering meaningful improvements to the city centre. These plans will be realistic and adaptable to future needs and will also take account of how improvements to City Hall can introduce wider benefits to Norwich and the local economy.
Have your say
Your input will help us understand what matters most to the people of Norwich and guide our evolving plans to create a modern, vibrant and inclusive building that everyone can access and enjoy.
Complete our online survey
This survey is the first step in a broader conversation. Your feedback will inform the development of different design ideas and proposals. There will be further opportunities to learn more and be involved as the project progresses.
The consultation will be open from Thursday 6February until Sunday 2 March.
